Job summary

IMSERV seeks a Head of Complex Metering to lead its complex metering capability, unifying sub metering planning, Alt HAN, CVA metering, and field subcontractor management under one accountable leader.

You will shape operations, ensure safe, compliant delivery, and drive innovative go-to-market propositions with the Commercial team, enabling scalable growth and high-quality customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in complex metering, field services or technical operations with senior leadership.
• Strong understanding of metering technologies, sub metering, CVA metering, Alt HAN and field-based delivery models.
• Experience translating technical capability into scalable commercial propositions, ideally in utilities or energy services.
• Sound commercial and financial awareness, including budget ownership and cost-to-serve assessment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, technical standards and field quality governance.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel regularly, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, technical design and engineering governance for sub metering programmes.
• Own end-to-end operating model for sub metering planning.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Account Management and Project teams to shape sub metering solutions.
• Lead Alt HAN operational capability, mobilisation, service delivery and continuous improvement.
• Ensure Alt HAN processes, partner interfaces and reporting are in place for safe, cost-effective outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve Alt HAN productivity, quality and customer experience through planning and field execution.
• Create and manage a pipeline of technical innovation across complex metering, sub metering, CVA, Alt HAN and adjacent energy services.
• Assess opportunities for operational feasibility, technical risk, cost to serve and scalability.
• Work with Commercial to size opportunities, define service propositions and transition viable propositions into delivery.
• Define, source and manage field sub-contractor capability for complex metering activities.
• Own the operational leadership and development of CVA metering capability across planning, field execution, compliance and customer outcomes.
