Job summary

Active Neuro, the specialist neurorehabilitation division of Active Care Group, seeks a Lead Speech and Language Therapist in Nottingham. You will deliver specialist SLT care to adults with complex neurological needs, lead SLT provision, supervise therapy staff and influence MDT rehabilitation planning.

The role combines a clinical caseload with service development and governance, offering autonomy in shaping neurorehabilitation pathways and driving evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required with a recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree.
• Experience in dysphagia management post-neurological injury or illness.
• Strong leadership and experience supervising therapy staff.
• Evidence-based, person-centred approach to SLT in neurorehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly specialist SLT assessment and intervention for adults with complex neurologic conditions.
• Assess and manage dysphagia and communication disorders with individualized plans.
• Plan and evaluate group therapy sessions and MDT rehabilitation plans.
• Provide clinical supervision and line management to therapy assistants.
