Job summary

Active Care Group's Active Neuro division in Birmingham is seeking a Lead Speech and Language Therapist to drive a pioneering neurorehabilitation service. You will develop evidence-based practice, mentor SLTs, and lead complex caseloads within a multidisciplinary team to elevate patient outcomes.

Joining during a seven-day model rollout, you may undertake weekend work and bank holidays with enhanced pay; a £5,000 welcome bonus underscores our commitment to attracting top talent.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience in neurorehabilitation settings and dysphagia assessment/management
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior SLTs and assistants
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS is required

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly specialist SLT assessment and intervention for clients with neurological injury or illness
• Lead on development and delivery of evidence-based therapy programmes with MDT collaboration
• Independently plan and evaluate communication therapy groups
• Maintain high standards of clinical care aligned with national guidance
• Take responsibility as Key Worker for integrated therapy planning and discharge coordination
• Provide leadership and supervision to junior SLTs and assistants
• Induct, educate and train interdisciplinary team members
• Ensure compliance with professional codes and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
• Safeguard within practice and uphold human rights
