Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in team management concepts.

• Experience designing and operating microservices in cloud and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of engineers to design, implement, and maintain the payments area of the Invest Tribe within Chase UK.
• Line-manage the engineering squad, set goals, support development, and build delivery capability.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code with constructive feedback.
• Contribute hands-on coding to develop key features and solutions.
• Lead by example and set high standards for code quality, work ethic and collaboration.
• Mentor engineers to promote continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals.
• Facilitate regular team meetings and retrospectives to address challenges.
• Work with Tech Leads and Principal Engineers to design robust, scalable solutions.
• Operate with a data-driven mindset by tracking metrics across delivery and systems health.
• Foster an inclusive culture and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to increase value of automation at scale.
