Job summary

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Lead Practitioner Psychologist (Band 8b) to provide strategic and operational leadership within Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams. The post supports a meaningful clinical caseload and shapes innovative care models across multidisciplinary teams in adult community mental health services.

Candidates must have HCPC registration, a Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, and a track record in service development and supervision.

Qualifications

Essential professional registration and training in clinical psychology.
Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology or equivalent.
Completion of an appropriate clinical supervision course to supervise trainees.

Responsibilities

Provide professional leadership and governance for a highly specialist psychology service and ensure safe, effective practice.
Lead and develop the place-based psychological workforce including supervision, appraisal, and workforce development.
Drive service improvement and strategic development with emphasis on equity and inclusion.
Deliver and promote expert psychological practice including assessment, formulation, intervention and consultation.
