Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer to help shape the future of our infrastructure and performance excellence. You will apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure discipline and lead cross-functional teams.

This role focuses on high availability, GDPS-based disaster recovery on IBM Z, automation, and collaboration with clients and platform teams to modernize, secure, and optimize our global mainframe environments

Qualifications

Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering for mainframes, including performance assessments.
Expertise with IBM Z, z/OS, GDPS disaster recovery.
Familiarity with mainframe automation and scripting (REXX, JCL).
Strong communication for cross-functional and client-facing work.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage high-availability and disaster recovery on IBM Z.
Drive GDPS architecture, implementation, and automation across mainframe environments.
Collaborate with platform teams to modernize infrastructure and resilience.
Develop automation scripts and integrate tools to streamline operations.
Lead projects, mentor team members, and manage vendor relations.
Coordinate deployment testing, failover, and recovery documentation.
Engage with clients to translate complex concepts for technical and business audiences.
Foster an inclusive team culture.
