Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products within the Finance Technology Team. You will shape architecture, drive transformations, and mentor engineers in an agile environment.

You will lead critical technology initiatives, ensure security and resiliency, and contribute to an inclusive culture while delivering high-quality production code across global teams.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages such as Java or Spark.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languages.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile).
• Ability to solve data-oriented problems using technologies such as SQL, Relational DB, Spark, NoSQL, optimizing for performance.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build innovative solutions
• Define and lead technology and process implementations across groups to achieve firmwide objectives
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with systems
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies
• Add to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
• Provide leadership and high-level direction to multiple feature teams both regionally and globally
