Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to tackle complex engineering problems across multiple technical areas. You will work in an agile environment, delivering secure, resilient systems and driving operational excellence across the team.

You will contribute hands-on engineering expertise, lead architectural discussions with vendors and internal teams, and help raise standards for quality, automation, and security in pursuits of firm objectives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering infrastructure and system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• Ability to lead use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, ensuring outputs are correct, fast, and secure.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, and secure handling.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), across design, development and troubleshooting.
• Develop secure, high-quality infrastructure patterns in Red Hat Linux environments.
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Apply SDLC tooling to increase value from automation and tooling.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation and improve stability across applications.
• Lead evaluation sessions with internal and external teams to assess architectures and integration.
