Job summary

Langham Recruitment is seeking a Lead Engineer - Electrical Design in Norwich to lead the EDES team and deliver complex electrical systems across simulators. You will set direction, allocate work, and collaborate with the Chief Designer to balance internal and outsourcing resources.

The role requires developing engineering capability, mentoring staff, and ensuring projects meet safety, quality and timelines, including worldwide travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Essential: engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years in an engineering environment.
• Experience delivering complex projects or workstreams.
• Experience guiding other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the EDES team with clear direction and priorities.
• Coordinate workload and resources across projects.
• Own electrical design of simulator subsystems (Cabin, Access system, Motion Stages).
• Develop testing procedures and support validation/commissioning.
• Travel worldwide to support build, test, and servicing of simulators.
