Job summary

Ansible Motion Limited, a world-leading designer of Driver-in-the-Loop simulators, is seeking a Senior Engineer - Electrical Design in Norwich. You will own electrical design of simulator subsystems and lead engineering workstreams from concept through to delivery, including validation and commissioning at customer sites.

You will mentor engineers, develop CAD drawings and BOM structures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum five years in engineering environment.
• Experience delivering complex engineering projects or technical workstreams.
• Experience providing technical guidance, coaching or mentoring to other engineers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Knowledge of, or experience working within, the automotive or motorsport sectors.
• AutoCAD experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design of simulator subsystems (e.g., Cabin, Access system, Motion Stages).
• Lead assigned electrical engineering projects and technical workstreams from concept through delivery.
• Develop testing procedures and support validation and commissioning activities.
• Perform design testing, commissioning and validation activities.
• Provide technical direction and support to engineers; share knowledge.
• Create 2D CAD block diagrams; produce drawings, BOMs and part lists.
• Work with purchasing on costings for parts and update CAD drawings.
• Collaborate with other departments and suppliers; mentor EDES engineers.
• Travel worldwide to support build, testing, commissioning and servicing.
