Job summary

Langham Recruitment in Norwich is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the mechanical development of simulator subsystems from concept through release. You will update 2D/3D CAD models, produce engineering drawings and BOMs, and ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet project requirements.

You will collaborate with suppliers and senior engineers, travel to supplier sites as needed, and contribute to cross‑functional integration within Ansible Motion's simulator

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Interest in Automotive or Motorsport sectors.
• Demonstrable experience in mechanical design for complex assemblies or systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design of simulator subsystems, including cabin, access systems, and motion stages.
• Develop and update complex 2D and 3D CAD designs and create BOMs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Travel worldwide to support build, testing, commissioning and servicing as required.
