Job summary

Policy Expert is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to shape analytics strategy and delivery across Home, Motor and Pet insurance in London. You will be part of the analytics leadership team, working with two analysts and peers to drive measurable business impact.

You’ll balance hands-on data work (60–70%) with coaching, setting data standards, building reusable workflows, and guiding stakeholders on data-driven decisions. Expect a hybrid London role with strong tooling and AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in data analysis (5+ years).
• SQL proficiency with a cloud data warehouse (GCP or similar).
• Hands-on AI tool experience (Claude/ChatGPT).
• Enjoys collaborating with business teams to understand needs.
• Experience coaching/mentoring analysts; insurance domain or BI tools bonus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams on projects with real commercial impact.
• Connect partners with data needs and our data platform.
• Help set coding, review and data-sharing standards.
• Build reusable workflows and tools for the team.
• Leverage AI tools carefully and ensure result accuracy.
• Manage and coach two analysts to deliver meaningful work.
