Job summary

LGC Assure in Fordham near Newmarket is seeking an experienced analytical scientist to join the Innovation team. You will independently develop, optimise and validate LC‑MS methods and troubleshoot complex analytical challenges to support our specialist laboratories.

This hands‑on role requires managing method development projects from feasibility to validation, producing technical reports, and presenting findings to internal teams and external customers while maintaining ISO 17025 standards.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and validating analytical methods using LC-MS.
• Ability to work independently and across disciplines to deliver solutions.
• Experience in busy analytical laboratories, ideally in commercial testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and validate LC‑MS methods from feasibility to implementation.
• Troubleshoot analytical challenges and identify root causes.
• Develop extraction methods and sample preparation workflows.
• Configure and operate LC‑MS to produce robust data.
• Analyse complex data and communicate findings clearly.
• Produce technical reports and validation summaries.
• Present results to internal teams and external customers.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and quality systems.
