Job summary

LGC ASSURE, part of LGC Limited, seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Lead for our Fordham laboratory in Cambridgeshire. You will shape and strengthen quality across scientific operations, focusing on ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and continuous improvement.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll drive audits, manage risk, and develop the QMS, collaborating with scientific and operational teams to balance compliance with practical workflows.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading an ISO/IEC 17025‑accredited QMS.
• Strong understanding of accreditation requirements and practical processes.
• Experience leading audits, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, risk assessments and change control.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate across teams.
• Ability to balance compliance requirements with operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality across the business as a trusted partner for accreditation and continuous improvement.
• Own and strengthen the QMS to remain compliant across different areas of the business.
• Drive accreditation and compliance by interpreting ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and supporting framework development.
• Lead audits, investigations, non-conformances, corrective actions and change control.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve quality issues and simplify processes.
• Support development of electronic QMS and SharePoint-based tools.
