Our Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is seeking a Senior Data Protection Lawyer to drive compliance, shape policy, and influence business strategy across Addleshaw Goddards global operations.

Job description
  • Lead the Data Protection sub-team, managing and developing talent.
  • Shape and implement the Firms data protection compliance strategy.
  • Advise on complex data protection matters, including international data transfers and regulatory changes.
  • Oversee data breach responses and data subject rights requests.
  • Deliver training and guidance to teams across the Firm. Collaborate with stakeholders in IT, HR, Procurement, and more.
  • Drive continuous improvement in risk management and compliance frameworks.
Required profile
  • Qualified lawyer with significant data protection and compliance experience in a leading law firm or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership and line management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory environment for law firms.
  • Resilient, solution‑driven, and able to deliver clear advice across international boundaries.
  • Commercial, detail‑oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects under pressure.
