Job summary

Zego is expanding its Complex Claims team and seeks a skilled Large Loss Claims Handler. You will manage a portfolio of high value motor claims, focusing on injury claims and complex liability issues, while driving down costs and ensuring fair compensation.

Reporting to the Motor Major Loss Manager, you will mentor juniors and collaborate with reinsurers, solicitors and carriers to deliver fair, commercially sound outcomes in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing high value motor bodily injury claims with authority of at least £250k.
• Deep knowledge of liability, indemnity, causation, reserving and future losses.
• Experience handling litigated claims and CPR/MIB procedures.
• Passion for a career in Large Loss and developing the function.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high value motor claims from £500k to £5m, pre and post litigation.
• Communicate effectively with customers, witnesses, insurers, solicitors and medical agencies to expedite resolutions.
• Act as a technical expert within the team, guiding large loss scenarios.
• Collaborate with Claims strategy and TP & Complex Claims leadership on processes.
• Mentor and develop junior team members with knowledge sharing.
