Job summary

Senior Flexonics – Lymington Precision Engineers in the UK is seeking a Large CNC Turner to handle programming, setting and operating CNC lathes for small batches of high-precision components in oil, gas, aerospace and defence sectors.

The role requires 3+ years with large components, 5+ years on Mazak and/or Fanuc controls, and a solid ability to read drawings and work instructions. 39 hours weekly with a core shift pattern; on-site in Lymington.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with large, high-precision components.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating Mazak and/or Fanuc controls.
• Experience reading drawings or work instructions (Job Cards).
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerances.
• Experience with various materials and processes.
• Ability to program, set and operate different machine tools.
• Knowledge of modern tooling and machining techniques (Desirable).
• Desirable: Mazak/Fanuc programming.
• Desirable: hydraulic and manual steadies.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes, reading and editing programs.
• Follow procedures via setup sheets and process documentation.
• Interpret technical drawings with GD&T understanding.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met at all times.
• Work in a team environment or independently.
• Adhere to job cards and drawings and the company quality system.
• Follow safety policies and safe systems of work.
