A leading multidisciplinary consultancy in Birmingham is seeking an Associate Landscape Architect to lead landscape planning and assessment projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in landscape architecture and CMLI accreditation. Responsibilities include managing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing project delivery, and engaging with clients and stakeholders. Qualifications

  • Typically 10+ years experience in landscape architecture, particularly within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of UK planning system.
  • Experience writing LVIAs for DCO projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead landscape planning and assessment projects.
  • Write and manage Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments.
  • Lead business development activities across the region.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Oversee project delivery, budgets and commercial performance.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support development of junior team members.

Skills

Degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Management
CMLI accreditation
10+ years professional experience in landscape architecture
Understanding of UK planning system
Experience in writing LVIAs for DCO projects
Experience in energy sector and large scale linear infrastructure
Team leadership and project management skills
Experience managing fee budgets
Strong stakeholder engagement
Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS and AutoCAD
Excellent report writing skills

Education

Degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Management
