Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced land safety engineer to lead safety work across military vehicles, equipment and emerging technologies. You will shape safety arguments and lifecycle traceability while influencing client decisions across acquisition and in-service delivery.

You will supervise safety cases, provide technical direction on platform integration, and collaborate with Delivery Agents, Lead Users and assurance stakeholders to deliver proportionate safety

Qualifications

• Substantial experience delivering safety engineering or safety assurance in a defence land environment.
• Strong experience with military vehicles, land equipment, defence acquisition, systems integration, operations or maintenance.
• Experience leading safety cases, safety assessments, hazard-management activities or complex work packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead land safety work packages for military vehicles, equipment, upgrades and in-service change.
• Develop and assure platform and equipment safety cases and hazard logs.
• Shape structured safety arguments for safe-to-operate and operated-safely claims.
• Provide technical direction on platform integration, autonomous or software-intensive capability, trials and certification.
• Advise teams and stakeholders on proportionate and usable safety solutions.
• Review outputs, guide hazard workshops and promote lifecycle traceability.
