Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking a land safety engineer to support safety engineering across defence land systems, including military vehicles and equipment. You will develop safety cases, hazard logs and structured safety arguments, turning technical evidence into practical safety information for delivery teams, equipment authorities, users and maintainers.

The role involves collaboration with delivery teams, lead users and assurance stakeholders, with potential security clearance

Qualifications

• Experience delivering safety engineering or safety assurance in defence land environments.
• Ability to analyse technical information and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of military vehicles, land equipment, defence acquisition and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Support safety engineering and assurance across acquisition, integration, introduction into service, operation, maintenance and modification of defence land systems.
• Help turn technical evidence into practical safety arguments, controls and information for delivery teams and maintainers.
• Develop and maintain safety cases, safety assessments and safety management plans for military vehicles and land capabilities.
• Create and maintain hazard logs and support risk-reduction activity.
• Produce clear technical reports and safety information for equipment decisions.
