Job description

Job Title: Senior Kitchen Manager / Head Chef

We're looking for a Senior Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to join the Butlin's Team based in Skegness.

A Butlin's resort is the home of getting stuck in, and no trip to the seaside would be complete without great food, which we offer to every guest, every time, in our restaurants.

We believe that variety is the spice of life. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead and develop our team in the Restaurants Department, ensuring high standards of food quality and service.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the skills of our culinary team.
  • Ensure Junior Kitchen Managers lead each shift effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with all food safety and Health & Safety policies.
  • Place orders for all food items with our onsite warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with all HACCP processes.
  • Communicate with the Food Development Team regarding operational challenges.
  • Establish and develop a motivated, proactive culinary team with high ethical standards.
  • Enforce cost control procedures, monitor waste and breakage.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams for smooth operations.
About You
  • Previous experience managing a kitchen operation at a similar level.
  • Proven track record in managing team performance and developing staff in a commercial culinary environment.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and proactive.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and fun-loving.
  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification or higher.
  • Ability to deliver high standards in a fast-paced environment.
