Job summary

Citisense in London is seeking a Principal Kerbside & Traffic Consultant to lead high-profile parking, kerbside and traffic commissions for local authorities, combining technical design, policy expertise and project management. You will shape projects from strategy to implementation, manage client relationships and commercial performance, mentor the team and help grow Citisense’s Engineering & Kerbside offer.

This role requires UK parking/traffic experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in transport planning or related field.
Experience working on UK parking, kerbside and traffic management projects.
Strong knowledge of traffic legislation, statutory processes and guidance.
Excellent report writing and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead complex and high-profile parking, kerbside and traffic commissions from strategy through implementation.
Provide senior technical and policy advice and manage client relationships and commercial performance.
Oversee CAD/GIS designs, traffic order plans, signs and road markings, and project documentation.
Lead bids, framework submissions, and mentor the team to raise technical standards.
Develop scopes, methodologies, programmes and fee proposals for complex commissions.
Identify and develop new work with current and prospective clients.
