Job summary

Citisense in London is seeking a Senior Kerbside & Traffic Consultant to lead parking, kerbside and traffic management commissions for local authorities. You will manage scope, programme, budget and client relationships from feasibility to implementation.

The role covers CPZ design, School Streets, moving traffic measures, road safety and policy documents, with CAD/GIS drawings and stakeholder engagement. You’ll mentor juniors, develop fee proposals and identify opportunities for repeat work,

Qualifications

• A relevant degree, qualification or equivalent practical experience in transport planning, traffic engineering, civil engineering, parking, highways or a related discipline.
• Experience working on UK parking, kerbside, traffic management or highway projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead parking, kerbside, traffic management and sustainable transport commissions from inception through feasibility to implementation.
• Prepare and review CAD/GIS drawings, traffic order plans and technical design documentation.
• Manage project scope, programme and budget across multiple commissions.
• Mentor and review the work of junior colleagues and support their development.
• Coordinate with highways, transport planning, engagement and data teams for integrated solutions.
