Job summary

Royal London is seeking a Lead Java Developer to help build a new state-of-the-art investments platform. The role will be based in Alderley Park with hybrid working (50% home/office) and will require leading a team to deliver high-quality enterprise Java solutions using Spring, REST microservices, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.

You will mentor developers, promote best practices, and contribute to the full software lifecycle in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Expert in enterprise Java development with Spring.
• Expert in REST API microservice development and event streaming with Kafka.
• Expert in persistence and caching layers, NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Expert in cloud hosting and containerisation platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Expert in TDD and left-most automated testing.
• Experienced in low latency, highly performant, optimised runtimes.
• Experienced in agile development practices and the full software development lifecycle.
• Thrives under little to no supervision.
• An experienced development lead and mentor.
