Job summary

Network IT is recruiting a Senior Java Developer to design, build and support software products underpinning digital user-focused services. You will work with architecture, engineering and product teams to deliver scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.

This role emphasizes modern engineering standards, service reliability and cloud delivery with a strong focus on Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka and MongoDB. You’ll guide the wider team on best practices and help shape technical strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience in Java software development in complex environments.
• Hands-on Spring Boot and modern backend engineering practices.
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS, and Kafka/MongoDB exposure.
• Ability to guide others in applying modern software engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead strategies for building reusable Java libraries, services and software components.
• Shape medium to long term technical strategies for product lines and the wider software engineering community.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to design robust, resilient and scalable systems.
• Champion software engineering best practice, including clean code, testing, documentation, maintainability and modern standards.
• Identify, investigate and support the resolution of infrastructure and production issues.
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the wider engineering community.
