Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Newcastle (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite) is seeking Senior Java Engineers to deliver enterprise Java solutions and drive digital transformation. You will own technical delivery, set engineering standards, and mentor developers while remaining hands-on.

Following a 12-month FTC, there is a strong chance of moving into a permanent role. The position requires SC eligibility and UK residency, with a hybrid onsite/offsite pattern in Newcastle.

Qualifications

5+ years Java development in a commercial setting.
Experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
Proficient with AWS and REST APIs.
Experience mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

Designing and developing large-scale Java solutions.
Building and maintaining Spring Boot microservices.
Working with AWS cloud-native architectures.
Leading technical workstreams and solution delivery.
Conducting code reviews and promoting engineering best practice.
Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.
Collaborating with architects, DevOps engineers and senior stakeholders.
Supporting delivery through the full software lifecycle.
