Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III to contribute to the Global Liquidity and Cash Management Technology team in the UK.

You will build and support high-performance services for the real-time liquidity platform and collaborate across global teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions. The role focuses on modern Java development (Java 17+), Spring Boot, testing, architecture design, and AI-assisted development tools, with opportunities for training and growth within a global

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on Java concepts and proficient applied experience.
Understanding of Java 17+ fundamentals and frameworks (Spring Boot), OO programming, multi-threading and messaging technologies.
Experience with modern testing tools (JUnit, Mockito, Spring Test Framework).
Experience with resilient SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., CockroachDB).
Familiarity with Linux, containers and cloud architectures/services.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills across distributed teams and stakeholders.
Understanding of the full SDLC and agile approach.
Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools with critical evaluation of outputs.
Knowledge of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance, latency-sensitive code with security considerations.
Write secure code and automated tests.
Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex apps and ensure design constraints are met.
Identify ways to improve operational stability and reduce recurring issues.
Participate in communities of practice to drive modern tech adoption.
Collaborate as part of a global team and support production releases.
