Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong Java proficiency (Java 11/17+) and concurrency fundamentals.
• Experience with Spring Boot and REST services.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs with OpenAPI guidance.
• Secure coding and safe data handling.
• Unit/integration testing with JUnit/Mockito.
• Experience designing resilient integrations and microservices.
• Exposure to CI/CD and agile development practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical teams, product partners, and stakeholders to deliver customer-facing capabilities and internal enablement.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-quality production Java services (APIs and supporting components), reviewing and debugging code.
• Contribute to decisions influencing product design, API design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Build and integrate services supporting portal experiences such as API discovery, documentation delivery, onboarding flows, entitlements, analytics, and developer self-service.
• Implement and advocate for security best practices, including secure coding, secrets handling, authentication/authorization, and data protection.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and promote modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, trunk-based development, resiliency patterns).
• Add to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
