Job summary

Citi in London is seeking a talented Java Developer to join the Fixed Income eTrading team, building and evolving front-office trading applications used by traders, quants and sales. Qualifications

• Extensive programming experience with an object-oriented language (preferably Java).
• Strong understanding of multi-threading and relational databases.
• Knowledge of modern Java ecosystems (Spring, Linux).

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing front office eTrading applications to the trading business.
• Working with Traders, Sales, and Quants to influence platform direction.
• Improving platform capabilities while maintaining stability, flexibility, and maintainability.
• Raising engineering standards and improving testing and UAT processes.
• Mentoring team members in EMEA region and coaching junior analysts.
• Troubleshooting performance and scalability issues in real-time trading contexts.
• Engaging with business users in London and across Europe.
• Providing third-line support during core trading hours.
• Collaborating with global business, product, support, and development teams on projects.
