Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead large-scale application initiatives within the Derivatives Credit Risk Technology Team.

You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from concept through design, development, testing and deployment, acting as a senior individual contributor with potential for leadership. You will apply core Java, Spring, and modern cloud-based tooling to build robust risk management software, collaborate with a global team, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Masters degree is preferred.
• Strong background in Core Java and OO design.
• Experience in Capital Markets, derivatives and risk management.
• Experience with Agile and test-driven development.
• Knowledge of Java internals (class loading, memory).
• Ability to build tooling for development and production use.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced technology projects across the full software lifecycle as an individual contributor.
• Provide technical leadership on projects with a wider team of engineers/analysts.
• Establish coding, testing, debugging and productionization standards.
• Collaborate with a global team to deliver software solutions for the business.
• Advance risk processing software infrastructure using new technologies within Citi guidelines.
• Coach mid-level and junior developers and analysts.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policy and governance.
