Job summary

Citi is hiring a Lead Java Developer to advance Real‑Time and On‑Demand risk capabilities within the Credit Business. You will own end‑to‑end delivery from architecture through production support, collaborating with London‑based trading, Market Risk, and tech teams.

Responsibilities include migrating workloads to AWS, improving performance, and ensuring reliable deployment with proper monitoring and observability. A strong background in Core Java, Spring, and microservices is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Real‑Time and On‑Demand Risk enhancements for the Credit Business with trading, MQA, Market Risk, and tech teams.
• Own the full development lifecycle: architecture, design, implementation, automated testing, release, and production support.
• Drive alignment of RT/OD workflows with EOD Risk strategy and ensure parity and controlled cutover.
• Lead build-out of RT/OD capabilities on strategic risk platform with new analytics and datasets.
• Deliver performance improvements through optimized risk calculations.
• Migrate compute workloads to AWS with scalability, throughput, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with NAM and APAC teams to improve delivery velocity and triage incidents.
• Provide demos, documentation, and education to promote adoption of new capabilities.
• Lead root cause analysis on production issues and strengthen monitoring and observability.
