Job summary

Citi is hiring a Senior Java Developer to join the Risk Data Team. You will architect and implement robust microservices using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful services while optimizing SQL and CI/CD pipelines.

You will lead a team of developers, promote clean code, and help advance cloud-native data platforms across the Institutional Data Platform and Citi Enterprise Data Organization, with a hybrid work model and strong mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and implementing complex software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services (XML, JSON).
• Proven experience working with Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Core Java, Multi-threading, Collections framework, and Spring Framework.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, OOP, design patterns, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with source code management tools (Git or Bitbucket).
• Understanding of clean coding principles and code quality measurements using tools like Sonar.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement unit, integration, and functional tests.
• A strong, solution-driven mindset with the ability to analyze complex problems, devise strategic solutions, and lead their implementation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
