Job summary

The Senior Java Developer at Citi will lead the development of critical derivatives risk applications within the Technology team in London. You will drive end-to-end delivery, design robust systems, and mentor junior engineers while aligning with Citi’s architectural standards.

You will collaborate with a global team, apply modern Java technologies, microservices, and cloud practices to deliver scalable solutions for risk management and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Core Java experience developing robust, scalable, and maintainable applications.
• Experience in Capital Markets domain and derivatives/risk management is advantageous.
• Strong test-driven development and agile practices.
• Understanding of Java internals like class loading and memory management.
• Ability to build tooling for development and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects through full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
• Provide technical leadership and enforce architectural patterns across teams.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging and productionization.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver software solutions for business needs.
