Job summary

Salt seeks a Senior Java Engineer for a Banking project in London on a contract basis, focusing on server-side delivery and modernising the architecture.

You will work in a hybrid setup (2 days on-site weekly) to migrate to event-based and microservices with Kafka, Spring Boot, Docker and Kubernetes. You will mentor junior staff and ensure design and code meet delivery standards across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end IT solutions in Java.
• Strong design and development skills across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Hands-on Java including core APIs, OO design and service development.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile team to migrate legacy app to event-based and SOA.
• Lead delivery of end-to-end IT solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure solution aligns with engineering and architecture standards across platforms.
