Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join a client on a major Tax Administration Modernisation Programme. The role is 6 months rolling, hybrid in Telford with two days onsite, paying £575-£595 per day inside IR35.

You will work in an agile environment across multiple Scrum teams, delivering backend services with Java, Spring, and AI-assisted development. Applicants should have strong Java experience, familiarity with AI technologies, Python

Senior Java Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer who can bring strong backend engineering experience alongside an interest in AI-assisted development. It is for a client of ours growing its engineering team on a major Tax Administration Modernisation Programme, supporting HMRC in transforming and modernising critical services.

You’ll join an agile engineering environment working across multiple Scrum teams, helping design and deliver new capabilities for the Auxiliary Self-Assessment Solutions (ASAS) programme - including the Historical Records Store (HRS).
