Job summary

Cognibox is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our Technology team in Cardiff. You’ll design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java 17+/21, Spring Boot, and a microservices architecture, with hybrid working and minimal in-office days.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, implement RESTful APIs, and mentor peers. You’ll work in an agile environment, emphasize quality, testing, and secure, performant software delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java 17+/21.
• Spring Boot and related ecosystem frameworks.
• RESTful API design and microservices architectures.
• Distributed systems and event-driven patterns.
• AWS and cloud-native development (ECS/Lambda/API Gateway).
• Docker and orchestration pipelines.
• Automated testing with JUnit/Mockito/Testcontainers.
• Git/GitHub and CI/CD practices.
• Agile/Scrum collaboration and delivery.
