Job summary

MOBOLISE is seeking a Senior Java Developer for our Advanced Technology Centre in Newcastle. You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale applications and microservices, combining hands-on coding with technical leadership.

You will work within Agile teams to deliver secure, scalable software, mentor colleagues, and contribute to cloud-native initiatives while ensuring high-quality solutions for public and private sector programmes.

Qualifications

• Proven Java development experience across enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong background in Spring Boot and RESTful API design.
• Experience building microservices architectures and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to mentor juniors and contribute to engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and improve RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support performance optimizations.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing practices, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
