Job summary

EPAM Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a fast-moving delivery team building a new regulatory reporting platform for a global financial services client. You will work on MiFID II transaction reporting, pre/post-trade transparency, and instrument data using Java 17, Spring Boot, AWS and CI/CD.

You will collaborate with BAs, compliance SMEs and QAs to deliver business-critical features, design scalable microservices, write tests, and participate in Agile

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java development experience with Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Experience deploying to AWS or other public cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and tools (Jira, Git, Jenkins).
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Capital markets experience, especially transaction reporting, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, cloud-native backend components using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features supporting transaction reporting and data flows.
• Translate regulatory requirements into auditable technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to design, development, testing, and documentation.
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests; support automated test pipelines.
• Deploy services in AWS and contribute to CI/CD pipeline development.
