Work You'll Do

1. Design and Development: Lead the design and development of scalable and high-performance web applications using Java and related technologies.
2. Back-End Development: Develop robust and efficient server-side logic using Java, Spring Boot, and other relevant frameworks.
3. Database Management: Design and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and optimizing performance using SQL and NoSQL databases.
4. Code Reviews and Testing: Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and perform integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
5. Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed applications and systems.
6. Quality Assurance: Participate in the development of automated tests and continuous integration pipelines to ensure the reliability of software releases.
7. Application Development: Lead the development of new features and functionalities for web applications, ensuring they meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
8. Collaboration: Lead client engagement workstreams independently and collaboratively. Focus on improving, optimizing, and transforming processes. Implement leading practice workflows, address quality deficits, and drive operational outcomes.
9. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously improve development processes and practices.

Our operate services within CTO include:

• Foundry Services: Operate services providing flexible, recurring resource capacity for client initiatives, projects, tasks, and enhancements
• Managed Services: Operate services that provide ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and optimization for IT/Engineering applications & products

Required Qualifications

• Over 6 years of professional experience in Java development, working on large, complex applications with significant business and customer impact.
• 6+ years of professional experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
• 6+ years of professional experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
• 6+ years of professional experience within Agile or Scrum environments.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%, depending on work and client needs.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from Tampa, FL.
• Availability to start by 07/07/2025.

The salary range for this role is estimated between $97,000 and $140,000, based on various factors including skills, experience, and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and may be influenced by geographic location and other considerations. Additionally, you may be eligible for an annual incentive program, subject to company rules and individual performance.
