Java has grown to be the most prevalent and widely used programming language for years, and we are working on an opportunity for a senior Java developer to continue the great work Java does. You’ll, as the senior, be working alongside another senior and the tech lead overseeing the 6 juniors within the team. You’ll be mentoring, coaching, and doing the line management as well as managing the expectations of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
In terms of the technical side, you’ll get to use Java 12 in a Spring Boot format. You’ll work within a GCP environment with the platform stack using Kubernetes on GCP, defined by Terraform and GitLab managing the source code and CI/CD pipelines. They are looking for an engineer that can come in with experience in designing and building cloud-native solutions. Most importantly, they want someone who has a real passion for software craftsmanship and has a “you build it, you run it” mindset.
The role itself also offers flexibility, being fully remote, but there is an office in London if you wish to take advantage. They offer a competitive salary and other benefits such as a high pension contribution, discretionary bonus, and other perks.
