Job summary

Wipro is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications across banking, payments, treasury, risk management, and financial services. You will work with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, quality assurance, and DevOps to deliver secure, scalable microservices and API-based solutions.

You will lead the design and development of enterprise Java applications, mentor teams, and drive engineering standards within Agile environments,

Qualifications

Strong experience with Java 8+ and multi-threaded enterprise applications.
Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and microservices.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of enterprise Java applications, microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven integrations
Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions
Champion engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, performance tuning, and secure development practices
Support CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, production troubleshooting, and service improvements
Collaborate across Agile teams while mentoring developers and providing technical leadership on complex initiatives
