Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Technology Consultant to deliver Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) and smart city projects for clients across the UK and internationally.

The role requires delivering advisory services through to design and delivery, leading technical teams, and expanding the use of mobility technologies. Hybrid working and professional development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• BEng in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Maths or Physics.
• Experience in a similar role - e.g. Smart Cities, Intelligent Transport Systems, Connected and Automated Vehicles, MaaS, communications network design.
• Knowledge of ITS and technologies which contribute to modern transportation.
• Knowledge of transport technology market demands, trends and challenges.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, feasibility/options studies and working directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical consultancy and design services for ITS, Smart Cities, Mobility solutions, C-ITS projects.
• Act as technology scout to push the boundaries of mobility and explore emerging opportunities.
• Lead research, data analysis and provide recommendations relative to client, technology and future.
• Capture client, stakeholder, system and user requirements—develop systems and services, architecture, design docs and reports.
• Review current and emerging technologies to deploy them for real-world client problems.
• Undertake problem analysis and prepare solution options.
• Undertake feasibility and detailed design tasks.
• Ensure the quality of technical deliverables aligns with client briefs and procedures.
