Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Technology Services Consultant in Transportation to deliver ITS, CAV, smart cities, and mobility technology projects across the UK and internationally. The role involves technical leadership from feasibility through design, with a hybrid work model and onboarding at an AECOM office.

You will lead specialist consultancy, capture requirements, and review new technologies to solve transport challenges, collaborating with national and international clients and partners.

Qualifications

• BEng (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Maths or Physics.
• Experience in Smart Cities, Intelligent Transport Systems, Connected and Automated Vehicles, MaaS, and related transport tech.
• Knowledge of ITS and technologies contributing to modern transportation.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, feasibility/options studies and direct work with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultancy and design services for ITS, Smart Cities, Mobility solutions, and C-ITS projects.
• Lead research, data analysis and recommendations related to client, technology, and future developments.
• Capture client, stakeholder, system and user requirements—develop systems architecture, design documentation and reports.
• Review current and emerging technologies to deploy solutions for real-world transport problems.
• Undertake feasibility and detailed design tasks and ensure deliverables meet client briefs and AECOM quality standards.
