Coaction Recruitment Ltd is helping a central Reading-based organisation recruit a Senior IT Support Technician. The role involves providing 1st and 2nd line support and taking ownership of escalated issues while helping to maintain and improve the IT environment.

You will also participate in IT projects and development plans, gaining broad exposure across systems administration, infrastructure, and service delivery. A supportive team and clear growth path are offered.

Senior IT Support Technician

£35,000 to £40,000 basic salary per annum plus benefits including bonus, pension, 23 days holiday, healthcare scheme, incentives and excellent training & development plans etc.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior IT Support Technician to join an established and growing organisation based in central Reading. They are looking for a Senior IT Support Technician to become a key member of their small internal IT team on a permanent basis.

The Senior IT Support Technician will provide 1st and 2nd line support across the business, taking ownership of more complex and escalated technical issues while also helping to maintain and improve the wider IT environment. Alongside day-to-day support, you will also play a key part in upcoming IT projects and improvement work.

Working within a small IT team will also give the successful Senior IT Support Technician broad exposure across support, systems administration, infrastructure and project work rather than being restricted to a narrow support function.

The successful candidate will have good previous IT support experience, ideally operating at 2nd line level, and will be comfortable troubleshooting issues independently and administering Microsoft 365 environments.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team

Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Intune, networking, RMM tools, backup solutions or IT security platforms would also be beneficial.
