Job summary

NVD is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to join our Southampton team. You will own complex systems, manage site networking, hardware lifecycles, and cloud admin tasks across Google Workspace and Salesforce.

Travel to UK sites will be occasional to lead upgrades and resolve high‑impact issues. The role suits a self‑starter with extensive infrastructure experience in logistics or manufacturing, and a proactive communicator who can translate technical concepts to non‑technical staff.

Qualifications

Advanced networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP) and enterprise switches/firewalls.
Administration of Google Admin Console and related enterprise tools.
Proven ability to rapidly learn complex bespoke systems and adapt.

Responsibilities

Rapidly understand bespoke internal systems and become SME for site apps.
Own site networking (LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPNs, Firewalls) and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues.
Manage hardware lifecycle from phones to tablets, laptops, and workshop tech.
Administer Google Workspace and Salesforce with basic troubleshooting.
Assess risks to business continuity and prioritise critical operations across UK sites.
