Job summary

SPECTRUM IT in London is seeking an IT Support Lead to coordinate internal IT support for staff and traders, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and the IT estate stays secure.

The role blends hands-on 1st–3rd line support with proactive initiatives, including researching AI tools to streamline processes and improve security posture.

Hybrid work with two days WFH; offices in Central London; UK-based applicants eligible to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Broad IT background supporting software, hardware and networks.
• Experience onboarding and adopting Microsoft Windows and Mac environments.
• Experience providing 1st to 3rd line support with external MSP liaison.
• Commercial experience with AI tooling such as Claude or Copilot.
• Understanding of IT security and Cyber Essentials.

Responsibilities

• Act as main internal IT contact for staff and traders.
• Split duties between IT tickets and proactive IT improvement activities.
• Research how AI can streamline business processes and security.
• Keep up to date with new technology and IT security practices.

IT Support Lead

£45-55k - London offices + hybrid working

An IT Support Lead / Senior Support Engineer opportunity for an established financial services business, supporting internal staff and traders at their London offices. The IT Support Lead will be the main internal IT point of contact for all stakeholders, to make sure issues are resolved quickly and their IT estate is fit for purpose and secure.

The IT Support Leadwould report to an IT Director and support modern IT adoption across a business, the role being split between IT tickets and issues and more proactive activities such as researching how they can utilise AI to streamline business processes, keep up to date with new technology and IT security, etc.

Essential skills:

• A broad IT background, previous experience supporting Software, Hardware, and Networks
• Onboarding and user adoption across Microsoft, Windows environments with Mac experience highly desirable
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd line support experience with previous experience liaising with external MSP's
• Commercial experience with AI tooling, such as Claude, Copilot or similar
• IT Security, Cyber Essentials understanding
• IT leadership experience is beneficial, but there won't be any direct reports.

The business offer hybrid working with 2 days WFH each week with offices in Central London.
