Job summary

Pontoon, a leading employment consultancy, is seeking an IT Sourcing Manager for a 6-month contract with hybrid working arrangements across Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds, and Manchester. The role focuses on end-to-end IT sourcing, supplier negotiations and governance to deliver commercially robust outcomes.

You will lead complex sourcing initiatives, manage stakeholder relationships across Technology, Legal and Finance, and ensure delivery within governance standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated IT/Technology sourcing experience in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong capability in running supplier negotiations independently.
• Experience with software/SaaS, cloud, infrastructure and IT services.
• Ability to interpret complex commercial proposals and translate into recommendations.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional deal teams.
• Solid understanding of sourcing governance, risk and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT sourcing activity including RFQs/RFPs, renewals and contract awards.
• Develop and execute sourcing and commercial strategies based on business needs and market data.
• Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships across Technology, Legal, Finance, Risk and Supplier Management.
• Analyze proposals, pricing models and TCO to provide clear commercial recommendations.
• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, licensing, SLAs and terms to optimise business outcomes.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and ensure governance and escalation of issues.
