This hybrid role based in Leeds focuses on IT procurement and supplier management within a major financial services organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing supplier relationships and delivering sourcing strategies. Candidates must be proactive and have excellent negotiation and communication skills. This is a contract position with a mid-senior level designation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT category management, technology sourcing, or procurement within large or regulated organisations.
• Strong commercial understanding of SaaS, cloud, and managed service agreements.
• Confident negotiator with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on cost efficiency and value creation.
• Knowledge of contractual risk management, compliance and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver category and sourcing strategies across IT and technology services.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including market analysis, RFPs, supplier selection and contract negotiation.
• Manage supplier relationships and governance processes to ensure performance, compliance and commercial value.
• Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders, influencing sourcing decisions and promoting best practice.
• Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across the supply base.

Overview

Digital Principal Recruiter @ Pontoon Solutions | Talent Management. Hybrid – Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh or Leeds (2 days on-site per week). An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sourcing Manager with a strong background in IT procurement and supplier management to join a major financial services organisation on an initial 6-month contract.

This role will play a key part in delivering strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management across a range of technology categories — including software licensing, hardware, cloud, infrastructure services and professional IT services. You’ll support the business in driving value, managing risk, and ensuring best-in-class supplier performance across complex, high-value contracts.
