Job summary

Stroud District Council is seeking a Senior Service Desk Analyst to join the ICT team at Ebley Mill, Stroud. The role focuses on delivering expert technical support across a range of ICT services, resolving issues, and mentoring junior staff to uphold high customer service standards.

The post offers a competitive salary of £40,444 per annum, a generous pension scheme, and flexible working with hybrid options.

Qualifications

Experience supporting a medium-sized user base using Microsoft technologies and business-critical applications.
Strong background working within an IT Service Desk or technical support environment.
The ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve ICT issues in a timely and effective manner.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Experience of working within ITIL service management principles would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

Responsibilities

Provide expert technical support across ICT services to staff and elected Members.
Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of ICT issues efficiently.
Mentor colleagues within the Service Desk to maintain high standards of customer service.
