Job summary

Capgemini in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Project/Programme Manager to lead large IT and technology project deliveries for public sector and other clients. The role requires steering end-to-end delivery, managing budgets, risks, and multi-supplier teams, with a focus on value, quality, and stakeholder engagement.

You will work in a hybrid model across offices, client sites, and home, and you must be eligible for UK work rights and SC clearance (sponsorship not offered).

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering IT/technology projects and programmes at a senior level, ideally within large and complex environments, from end-to-end.
• Strong leadership to multi-discipline and multi-supplier teams in matrix environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, including engaging with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large IT/technology projects across the full lifecycle (end-to-end), ensuring scope, quality, time and budget.
• Provide strong leadership to multi-discipline, multi-supplier teams, driving high performance in matrix environments.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, manage risks and dependencies, and proactively remove blockers.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency via agile practices and lessons learned.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, value delivery, and change control.
• Demonstrate commercial acumen, develop proposals, and work with various contract types.
• Provide reporting/data to support communications with senior stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time.
• Foster a productive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment.
